Avorion i find a lot more interesting and definitely gives more bang for buck. Out of the two the only one that could even begin to scratch the Factorio itch would be Avorion. Empyrion is basically like any survival game, mine/find material put it in the assembler and boom you have what you need. Avorion is a space-sim sandbox game where you build your own ships and fight, trade, mine and explore your way to the center of the galaxy. It is currently in its early access phase. It is very simple, just open the in-game chat by pressing “enter” and type a “slash” before each command and confirm the command you have chosen with enter.

A few hundred years ago, a catastrophic catastrophe nearly ripped your galaxy apart: an insurmountable ring of torn hyperspace tissue appeared in the center of the galaxy, which conventional hyperspace engines cannot overcome.
Since this event, no one has managed to approach the central regions of the galaxy. All you know is that the Event also spawned many impassable hyperspace rifts throughout the galaxy and that a strange alien race, the Xsotan, has emerged at the center. These aliens appear to have found a way to traverse the torn fabric of hyperspace, but so far no one has been able to contact them.
There are also rumors of a strange new metal called Avorion that appeared in the center of the galaxy around the same time that Ixotan arrived. Apparently, the aliens use this material to build their ships.
Start like no one else on the brink and move to the center of the galaxy, which becomes more dangerous, but also more rewarding the closer you get to its core. Avorion takes sandbox aspects from games like X or Freelancer, launches cooperative multiplayer, and lets you build your own ships. It features ships made from poorly scalable blocks that can be procedurally generated and smashed into pieces where they can be hit in space battles.
Equip your ship with machine guns, lasers, and other weapons to fight your enemies and enjoy the view of completely destructible ships, crashing exactly where you hit them.
Defend your allies from pirates, hunt enemies for coins, or even take part in wars between entire factions. Once you are victorious, collect loot from defeated enemies that you can use to upgrade your ship: new turrets with special abilities like auto-fire or bolt repairs, or system updates that allow you to mount even more weapons. Build hangars and command fighter squadrons in your battles, or destroy enemy cargo ships to steal their cargo.
